SpaceX Ushers in a New Space Age and a Paradigm Shift
SpaceX, led by Elon Musk, has successfully placed its massive Starship rocket into Earth orbit.
This rocket is enormous. It is designed to carry up to 150 metric tons of cargo.
After reaching orbit, it deployed 26 SpaceX communications satellites and continued its flight toward a return to Earth.
Could this be a groundbreaking achievement that fundamentally transforms the structure of our world?
- A Cost Revolution and Dominance of Earth’s Orbit
- Virtually Unlimited Resources
- The Shift of Communications and Financial Infrastructure into Space
- A Paradigm Shift in Military Power and the Global Balance of Power
These four developments, in particular, could fundamentally transform the global order.
A Cost Revolution and Dominance of Earth’s Orbit
Russia, China, Europe, and Japan have all developed the ability to place satellites into orbit.
What makes Musk’s latest achievement so remarkable is that it has opened the door to dramatic reductions in launch costs.
Until now, the cost of transporting cargo into space has run into thousands of dollars per kilogram. However, some suggest that these costs could eventually fall to just a few dollars per kilogram.
This brings the prospect of constructing space-based solar power stations and data centers closer to reality.
Another significant development is that SpaceX has helped establish a foundation for private companies to undertake space exploration, an activity once largely reserved for governments.
Virtually Unlimited Resources
Elon Musk has long envisioned constructing AI data centers in space.
Today, electricity supply constraints are a major problem for data centers on Earth. Among planned data center projects, 40% reportedly face uncertain prospects for becoming operational, even if construction is completed.
This is not simply a matter of insufficient electricity generation. It also stems from aging power distribution systems and the complexities of the American electricity market.
Musk, however, envisions building data centers in space and powering them with solar energy.
On Earth, solar panels cannot generate electricity at night.
In space, however, certain orbits could allow solar power generation to continue almost uninterrupted.
Furthermore, while data centers on Earth require cooling systems, space is extremely cold. This could open the door to fundamentally different approaches to cooling.
The Shift of Communications and Financial Infrastructure into Space
Today, communications networks and financial infrastructure rely heavily on undersea cables, while the financial system remains structured around a London-centered concentration of power.
Space-based infrastructure could transform this arrangement dramatically.
The United States gained independence in 1776. Yet, in my view, America, much like Japan, has remained under London’s influence through international financial structures and the United Nations, which I see as part of a broader system of global control.
In the past, some American presidents introduced policies concerning monetary sovereignty. Among them were presidents who were later assassinated.
President Abraham Lincoln issued government-backed paper currency, while President John F. Kennedy signed an executive order concerning currency issuance. Both were subsequently assassinated. Could there have been a connection between the question of monetary sovereignty and these historical events?
This latest technological achievement raises the possibility that such a system of control could be brought to an end, not through politics, but through technological transformation.
A Paradigm Shift in Military Power and the Global Balance of Power
Traditionally, geopolitics has been understood through the concepts of land power and sea power. From now on, however, we may also need to consider space power.
SpaceX has established an overwhelming presence in low Earth orbit and may well take the lead in future space development.
The realization of America’s Golden Dome initiative may also be drawing closer. It is even suggested that the use of space could make it possible to transport weapons anywhere on Earth within 60 minutes. Satellite-based attacks may also become possible.
Every year, we hear predictions of the “collapse of the dollar” or the “collapse of America.”
But what do you think will actually happen?
Do you believe America is heading toward collapse?
Throughout history,
Those who controlled the seas controlled the world.
Those who controlled the skies controlled the world.
Next, perhaps, “Those who control space will control the world.”
Will the United States continue to dominate the global order?
What do you think?
Regardless of whether one agrees or disagrees with President Trump’s policies, I cannot help but be impressed by America’s enduring strength.
